How it works

How a case moves, from first call to the check

Most cases take months, and some take more than a year. These are the steps, in the order they happen.

  1. 01

    Step 1: The first call

Free, by phone, video or in an office. You tell us what happened; we tell you whether we'd take it and what the file would need.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Opening the file

We sign an engagement letter, send the letters that keep evidence, and tell the insurers to talk to us instead of you.

  3. 03

    Step 3: While you treat

You focus on getting better. We collect every record and bill, and check in every few weeks.

  4. 04

    Step 4: The demand

When your treatment levels off, we send the insurer a demand package: the whole file, and the number it adds up to.

  5. 05

    Step 5: Settle or file

Most cases settle after the demand. If the offer is too low, we file a lawsuit and keep building.

  6. 06

    Step 6: The check

The settlement goes into our trust account. We pay the medical liens, take our fee and costs, and send you the rest with a written breakdown.

Fees

What a case costs you

Our fee is a share of what we recover, agreed in writing before we start. Case costs, like medical records, filing fees and expert reviews, we pay as the case goes and take back from the recovery. If there is no recovery, you owe us neither the fee nor the costs.

Call any office or write to us. We'll reply within one business day.

No fee unless we recover money for you. Case costs, like records and expert reviews, come out of the recovery; if there is no recovery, you owe neither.
