Signe Nygaard

Partner, Seattle office

Signe runs the Seattle office and takes the cases with the thickest files: truck crashes and medical malpractice.

Signe started out reviewing medical charts for a hospital's risk office, which is where she learned how a record gets written and what it leaves out. She switched sides and has represented injured people ever since.

On a truck case she asks for the driver's logs, the dispatch records and the maintenance file in the first letter, before anyone has a reason to lose them. On a malpractice case she has the chart reviewed by a doctor in the same field before she tells you whether there's a case.
